Four days. Three of northern Tanzania’s defining landscapes.
Begin among the elephants and baobabs of Tarangire, follow the road into the open plains of the Serengeti, then descend into the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater. This private camping safari keeps things simple, adventurous and close to the wild while still giving you a remarkable variety of landscapes and wildlife.
The pace is energetic, but the reward is big: each morning opens onto somewhere completely different.
DAY 01 / TARANGIRE - BENEATH THE BAOBABS.
Meet your Wildpack guide in Arusha and set off toward Tarangire National Park, leaving the city behind as the landscape opens into dry savannah and acacia woodland.
Tarangire is famous for its elephants, and it rarely takes long to understand why. Families gather around the river, wander beneath enormous baobabs and move across the plains alongside zebra, wildebeest, giraffes and impala. Predators are never far from where prey gathers, so keep watching the grass and tree line.
Enjoy your first game drive before continuing to camp as evening settles over northern Tanzania.

DAY 02 / SERENGETI - THE HORIZON OPENS.
After breakfast, travel toward the Ngorongoro Highlands and continue through the conservation area toward Serengeti National Park.
Then, gradually, the landscape changes. Hills fall away, grasslands stretch toward the horizon and the road begins to feel less like a road and more like an invitation into the wilderness.
Once inside the Serengeti, the transfer becomes a game drive. Search the plains for lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and vast herds of grazing animals as you make your way deeper into the park.
Arrive at camp in the evening and settle in for a night surrounded by one of Africa’s greatest wildernesses.

DAY 03 / SERENGETI → NGORONGORO - CHASE THE MORNING. FOLLOW THE WILD.
Start early, when the Serengeti is cool, the light is soft and predators may still be active after the night.
Spend the morning exploring the plains with your guide. Perhaps lions are returning from a hunt, cheetahs are beginning to scan the grasslands, or elephants are moving quietly across the horizon. During migration seasons, enormous concentrations of wildebeest and zebra can transform entire stretches of the landscape.
After lunch, begin travelling back toward Ngorongoro, game driving along the way before climbing into the highlands.
Tonight, camp near the crater with tomorrow’s adventure waiting below.

DAY 04 / NGORONGORO CRATER - DOWN INTO THE WILD.
Wake early and descend approximately 600 metres from the crater rim to the floor of Ngorongoro.
Within this immense volcanic caldera lies an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Spend the morning exploring grasslands, woodland and wetlands in search of lions, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and the endangered black rhino.
Stop for a picnic lunch before continuing your final game drive across the crater floor.
Later, climb back toward the rim and begin the drive to Arusha. Four days, three wildly different landscapes, and one final road back to where it all began.
